As autumn fades into winter

In Italy, as winter knocks on the hills and mountains and turns the skies grey with heavy clouds, the vineyards in Umbria protest by changing colour dramatically.

The hills around Montefalco, Umbria are dotted with farms glowing red in the weak sunshine. This is the last stand.
