Peyrepertuse Castle

Is a ancient castle on the mountains in South France. No one knows for sure how old it is because it is first mentioned in a will in 1020BC. There is no history recorded of its original construction and how many families, kings or lords lived there before it was inherited in 1020BC. It is an very impressive ruin to walk around as the mist rolls in. To think, all those centuries ago, how did they built it? It is balancing on the very top of a narrow ridge with mighty cliffs. There were two castles in fact, with two chapels, rooms, stables, towers, garrison quarters.
