Goodwood Revival Festival

Is a festival of old times, old cars and old ways of doing things. It is festival held every year in the UK where the rich (and maybe not so famous) bring out their prized vintage cars, neglect insurance instructions and race them. All the cars on the track must be original and must be 50 years + in age, this makes them very valuable indeed, some are worth millions of pounds. And yet they throw caution to the wind and hurl them round a racing track with as much drive and enthusiasm as in the days they were make! Their owners are either mad, brave or have too much money.

One of the great things about Goodwood is, not only do you see the old vehicles doing what they were made to do, but everyone who is anyone dresses up in 1950’s style. As you walk around you feel as though you have been transported back in time to tweed jackets, furs and bobby socks. There is a great spirit and festive feel as you wonder around.
