Copenhagen, Demark

Had fantastic stay with a good friend in Demark, who showed us some of the countryside, history and traditions.

Seems all royal families have a secrets, including the Danish.

Once upon a time...... there was a great palace with stables and many supporting out buildings, but due to love affair between the queen and the kings doctor, the palace became a place to be avoided due to the scandal. The stables became a museum and out houses became cottages of the village. It was then, many years later, the palace was replace with this simple church, and the land was never visited by the royal family again.

Still it is a beautiful place, with moats and gardens. Although no longer as splendid as in the days of the royal visits, it is a pleasure to behold and the birds don't seem to care either way.
