Namibian Desert Express with Pangolin Photographic Safaris.

This trip was special because of a number of things and I was able to be a part of it. One, it is a photographic workshop tour of a particularly big country, covering many miles to the key sites and locations. Two, it was based out of luxury train. “Guts”, our guide and part owner of Pangolin Safaries, had a dream, many years ago of doing a train photographic safari. Finally his dream became a reality with the Pangolin Desert Express, and was the first every of its kind. Sadly this is not a regular trip, with the next one being in two or three years from now. Still I was on it and I will carry the memories with me forever. http://www.pangolinphoto.com/safaris/pangolin-express http://www.facebook.com/pangolinphotosafaris Doodvlei is an iconic area in Namibia. Not easy to get to as it is down a very long road, near nothing but well worthy of the journey. It is magical, red desert dunes, white dried out mud and black burnt out trees. It has a strange sense about it, you want to talk in hushed tones and the photos cannot do it justice. I hope you enjoy this one.

Over the next few weeks I will load a image from each location we stopped at...keep checking.
