One of the most interesting experiences we had in Etosha, was between a Black Backed Jackal and a family group of 40 Banded Mongoose.

The jackal thought he would be in for an easy meal. Just one mongoose would have been satisfactory, however the mongeese were not so keen on becoming a tasty snack. They gathered together and chased him off. It was a great moment and one I hope to treasure for some time.

Next we are on the Desert Express, a train through the Namibian desert and hinterland. Sand dunes and endless stars await us. But alas wifi is not available, which may not be a bad thing.
