Walking with Etombi, the Cheetah

Walking with Etombi

It is a wonder and a privilege to walk with a wild animal, to hear it purr each time you came near.

Etombi is a cheetah who is totally independent, hunts for herself but seeks the attention of people. She is gentle and engaging. She sounds a little like a engine with the strength of her purr as it vibrates in her throat. It still seems unreal as she cruises past you with her head at your elbow height.

Etombi can be found at Tshukudu bush camp but she will be transfered shortly, as her brothers have decided that she is competition for the food supplies found on the reserve.
